Lanny’s journey began under the guidance of his father, who spent decades mastering the trade. Learning the craft from a young age, Lanny honed his skills at Ace Appliances in Chatham, Ontario, before pursuing studies in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology. His dedication led him to positions with respected companies such as Roy Inch & Sons and Sears Indoor Clean Air Management, where he deepened his expertise in both HVAC and appliance repair.

His passion for teaching and sharing knowledge later brought him to the North American Trade School, where he led the Gas Technician program as an instructor — shaping the next generation of skilled technicians.

After years of working for others and doing side projects for loyal customers, Lanny decided it was time to take a leap of faith and build something of his own. In 2021, he launched MB HVAC & Appliance Services, returning to his roots and founding a business built on trust, quality workmanship, and true customer-first service.

Today, MB HVAC & Appliance Services proudly maintains and repairs over 1,500 units with Student Housing Management companies, while continuing to serve homeowners and businesses across the region. The company has grown year after year — thanks largely to word-of-mouth referrals and a simple promise:
